Default Money farming

I've been reading around here and there,

all builds are to farm specific areas or bosses for greens.
As we all know, only the mere first ones to farm an area or a boss get it sold for high amounts of gold, the rest will face the ever declining value of items due to overfarming.

So, if we look at the obvious, where is a basically good and easy spot to farm for gold mainly?

I for one like the vermin farming eventhough the AoE nerf made it last a little longer the before.
Nets me around 2k-3k on a rather easy run. Occasional gold or good drops, a few keys and chests. Some dye too.

Not the big amount of gold but it all stack up.

Other places like this to solo ?

I can only speak for myself, but I use Moone's D/Me Smite run for getting money. Every run nets me around 2k and the occasional ecto.

Ok.

Maybe I wasn't precise enough, I was more likely thinking areas that are not UW, FoW, elite missions, DoA, etc.
Just out in the regular worlds, not hunting obsses for greens.

Plain old gold farming areas is what I look for.

Well obviously high end areas where the monsters drop a fair amount of gold is what you are looking for then. I know that outside of camp rankor the monsters there seem to drop over 100g each time they die. Not sure if it is the best to gold farm though.

Good luck with your hunt!

I farm Desert griffons at The Scar (crystal desert, prophecies) with my 55hp Ne/Mo and i get about 1k in one run. It's not much, but farming griffons is easy and fun

well when i'm bored i farm the hekets at the foodplains....they drop quite a fair bit of gold items and some nice runes...but the farm could be a little bit challenging/time consuming. but it's a good place i guess.

You could better farm the hydras then, they drop like 100g a piece... Who cares about the griffons... lol hydra farming with 55hp monk or 55hp necro is better... 3 - 5k a run.

the problem with easy-to-kill mobs is that you easily overfarm them as well.. drop rates start to suck after a couple of runs.. (minotaurs, vermin, kirins, ...)

anyways.. i liked to farm yeti's in factions.. challenging on the one hand and pretty profitable on the other.. hth

/agree with hydras

I used to do that before I realised money isnt the thing that makes the world go around. Why farm for that L33t armor when you spend 80% of the time farming mindlessly and 19% of the time getting to that place for the armor and then 1% of your time to show it to your friends/randoms. And then you find out everyone has that armor already.

Just make sure its for something usefull.

Thx,

but I'm not out to hunt or farm as such, was just wondering where ppl farm for gold, that's all.

I have some cash stashed away, got myself some ectos, plenty of dye, all the items I need for my 4 lvl 20's so far, yes, I think I'm all good.

Presently working on my GMC and helping guildies/alliance out when needed.
Not that much a farmer, but once in a while, some sort of distraction is needed.

Thx so far for all the suggestions, keep 'em coming as I'm sure there are more.
Oh, if you think that characters matter, I have a ranger, warrior, monk and ele.

Dead Sword farming. I know you're not worried about specific item farming, but just doing a couple of runs can net you quite a bit on money just from the drops alone. Your inventory will be full after each run and you can either merchant everything or salvage it...whatever works best for you, but either way, you're going to make some pretty good money. And once that req8/9 Dead Sword drops, you'll have something worth selling.

An easy way to make alot of cash is to go solo from Lair of the Forgotten, hop in a worm and kill everything everywhere the worm can travel and open all chests you find. I just avoid the crag groups-run past em. In 15-25 minutes even if you get no sellable gold items you'll get a minimum of 3-4k in gold alone.
